25 Years of C-Suite Financial Leadership
Simon Brewer is a fractional CFO, COO, and transaction advisor with 25 years of C-suite financial leadership at public companies, private equity-backed businesses, and global organizations. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Utah and Nevada and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
Simon built his foundation at KPMG, one of the Big 4 accounting firms, where he managed SEC filings, audits, and acquisition reviews for clients including Flying J ($25B ARR) and the U.S. Department of Energy. That Big 4 training — PCAOB standards, SEC reporting, SOX compliance — is the foundation he brings to every fractional CFO engagement.
As a fractional CFO and COO at public companies, he has filed Form 10s, managed 10-K and 10-Q reporting cycles, guided companies through reverse mergers, and overseen Big 4 auditor transitions. At Predictive Technology Group (OTCQX: PRED), he scaled revenue from $2M to $60M ARR and led six acquisitions while serving as CFO of a public biotech company. At ClearOne Inc. (NASDAQ: CLRO), he was hired specifically for turnaround and strategic exit work, delivering $3M+ in annual cost reductions and facilitating a reverse takeover.
Beyond public company finance, Simon has led PE-backed turnarounds at a $140M food manufacturer (Norbest), scaled eCommerce operations from $150M to $550M ARR at Backcountry.com (a subsidiary of Liberty Interactive, NYSE: LINTA), and managed 10+ acquisitions across industries from biotech to electronics to outdoor retail.
Simon provides fractional CFO and COO services to clients throughout Utah and nationwide. He works on a remote or hybrid basis and is available for up to 60% travel for engagements that require on-site presence.
